The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development welcomes the belated agreement between Hamas and Fateh, who have signed the Egyptian reconciliation deal to end the geopolitical division, and a bitter period of the Palestinian history. The organization sees in the agreement a step further towards the national reconciliation, the end of the division and the reunification of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. By signing the agreement, the two parties, along with the other Palestinian political parties, and the civil society organizations, will join efforts to rebuild the Palestinian society, and promote the political pluralism, which is an integral part of our Palestinian culture.
The organization stressed that the agreement will have positive implications on all levels, including all segments of Palestinian society. The Palestinian families have suffered greatly from the split, and it is about time to work collectively, to fight the Israeli Occupation, and end the unjust siege enforced upon Gaza since 4 years.
