The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development has launched the first phase of project “Promoting Law Sovereignty and Women’s Right to Justice”. A focus group of lawyers, trainers, and the project’s staff have met together to introduce the project and assign duties. On a boarder level, the meeting aimed to educate women about the law, and the importance to enforce law in all aspects of life, in order to empower women, and increase their chances to the legal resources, especially in the remote areas, and also to pressure the duty bearers to fulfill their moral and legal obligations towards women and their rights.
The UNDP –funded project will be implemented in 6 governances across the West Bank.
